I am an integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor, which means I use a range of different tools to tailor the sessions to your needs. I have worked in mental health and addiction since 2013. If appropriate, we would explore childhood messages, experiences and trauma, in your pace, to reflect on present day behaviours and issues you may face.
About me and my practice
My role is to listen, show empathy and provide a safe space to explore your feelings. Together we will establish a treatment plan that suits your needs. Therapy provides a safe, non judgemental space to explore your feelings and your thoughts. Therapy is a means of self care, giving yourself time to reflect on your own needs.
I work with a range of difficulties including, self esteem, self worth, self confidence, anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, bereavement, sleep problems, women and mens issues, cultural issues and addictions, to name a few.
When you are ready to book a consultation, I will contact you for an informal chat, this is to discuss what your presenting issue is, this also gives you an opportunity to discuss any questions you have about therapy.
Experience
In the past I have worked in a residential rehabilitation facility, providing group therapy with the beginning of the 12 step programme. After which extending my training to work in private practice since 2021, working with a range of clients to meet their therapeutic goals, for example, assertiveness, self esteem, confidence, infant loss and attachments, to name a few.
